Perspex, emulsion paint, printed paper, plastic wallets   -   Installed at the Edwardian Cloakroom, Bristol for Colourspace
Greyish is a site-specific sculptural work that is dependent upon a series of low quality images of the exhibition space sourced from the internet. These were all originally produced in differing lighting conditions and through different apparatus, captured during previous exhibitions and events, and since uploaded to circulate and degrade. All of the colours presented are sampled from only the white tiles of this distinctive checkerboard floor as they had been recorded in these downloaded images. They stand as records of those discrete moments in time, digitally deconstructed through printer ink and into commercial household paint; standing waiting against the shifting white of the present moment.
